Default New necro

Well i just started a n/mo and want to be a mm but i heard that you dont get alot of skills until the kryta area of the game. I am in pre-searing and keep dying maybe i just suck. I try to raise minnons but they die so fast and dont do much damage. I can anyone give me some strategies for a new necro.

Well definatly don't try being a MM in pre searing at first go with blood or curses maybe and later in the game when you get all of the needed skills and you have more attribute points try MM again - I gaurentee it will work better

What are your attributes set to? The higher Death is the higher level your minions will be and the more hit points and higher damage. I'd put points in Death + some few in soul reaping for energy gain and just use minions + wand.

The bane signet may be handy as well with no energy and double damage to undead. If you do put a few points in Smiting then the Symbol of Wrath spell is nice when facing melee critters.

I recommend experimenting with most of the necro skills though. It will help you understand what necros can do and how certain skills can work together.

Once in post sear put some points in healing and use heal area between battles to prolong the life of your minions. It only works while they are gathered around you though so pause, let them catch up, then cast.

Don't try to be a MM in presearing? What's that jargle? I did it, and it was awesome. It should be especially cool for an n/mo. Your dudes meat shield for you so you can vamp gaze/bane signet, in between battles you heal area for them. Good stuff. Wouldn't do it any other way.

Yeah after changing my attributes and skills around i find that i am very very affective. My main was a w/n but i only used curses do to the energy issues of warriors. Now its alot of fun and i usually have 2-3 minons up at a time.
